First of all, it marks a culmination of America as I knew it as a child.
Secondly, it seems to mark the beginning of a new era. An era that America is no longer an "island"; or "isolated" from the harsh and bad things that the rest of the world endures.
Finally, I view that day as a wake up call. A time for Christians to wake up and quit sitting on their... *chairs*.
It was my parents' generation that allowed prayer to be kicked out of school. It was allowed because no one wanted to make a fuss.
And then there was abortion.
It is time for Christians to speak up and to take back their place in American society as the leaders and developers of this nation.
